“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”
I recently watched a girl’s video on why she left the Christian faith. She believed Christianity was a fear-based religion, but that is untrue! This verse says that “there is no fear in love, but perfect love casteth out fear:”
Christianity is not a fear-based religion; it’s a love-based. She didn’t want to be living in fear as she said, which this verse agrees to “because fear hath torment.” If you decide to live in love, believe in Jesus then you won’t live in fear you will have the perfect love that casts all fear away. Living without Christ is living in fear “he that feareth is not made perfect in love.” This can be true of a believer who fears things and is anxious, they are not grounded in the perect love that casts out fear, anxiety, worry and fret. Or one who constantly lives in the fear of losing their salvation, even though it is secure in Jesus!
Are you a believer? Are you living in fear? Are you saved, but continually fearing what may come? Choose Jesus’s perfect love, the love the casts out fear!
